S865-5G V/s Snapdragon 855+ : Detailed Comparison.

How are you? Finally after a long time i am back with my chipset comparsion thread. This time i have compared 2019's Qualcomm's Powerful-flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset with its predessor 855+ chipset. So lets see what does it bring to table.
CPU And GPU
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 uses the newer ARM Cortex-A77 cores, with the primary performance core using a Kryo 585 clocked at 2.8GHz, three Kryo 585 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Kryo 385 cores( based on Cortex-A55) clocked at 1.8GHz.The Snapdragon 865 integrates the Adreno 650 GPU which renders graphics 25% faster then its predessor and interesting thing is that, 865 GPU drivers can be updated via software update. API Support:-OpenCL 2.0 Full, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, VUlkan 1.1.
Snapdragon 855 features four Kyro 485 Silver high-efficiency cores operating at 1.8 GHz along with three high-performance Kyro 485 Gold operating at 2.42 GHz and another higher-performance Kyro 485 Gold core operating at 2.94 GHz. The Snapdragon 855 integrates the Adreno 640 GPU Burst Frequency upto 700MHz. API Support:-OpenCL 2.0 Full, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, VUlkan 1.1.

It is also wi-fi 6 ready, Wi-Fi Standards: 802.11ad, 802.11ay, 802.11ax-ready, 802.11ac Wave 2, 802.11a/b/g, 802.11n,Wi-Fi Spectral Bands: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 60 GHz. Peak Speed: 10 Gbps. It supports Bluetooth 5.0.

Both the chipsets is Fabricated on TSMC's 7nm Process. And supports Qualcomm's latest charging technology "Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+". According to Qualcomm to Quick charge 4+ is 30% more efficient, 15% faster and upto 3% cooler as compared to predessor charging technology.

It certainly isn't conclusive to judge through an on-paper comparison. However Snapdragon 865 brings mobile processing to next level, it is complete upgrade overs its predessor as its comes with Kryo 585 CPU and Adreno 585 GPU which renders Graphics 25% faster than Snapdragon 855 and 855+ GPU. With better X55 5G Modem, while in terms of Display support Snapdragon 865 can support 4K UHD @60 Hz, QHD+ @ 144 Hz while Snapdragon 855 And 855+ supports upto 4K UHD. But it terms of manfacturing process and charging technology both are same- fabricated on 7nm process and supports Quick charge 4+. And the best thing in 865 is that, its GPU Drivers can be enhanced via software update. During Qualcomm's Snapdragon Tech Summit, Xiaomi announced that Mi 10 will feature latest Flagship Snapdragon 865 Chipset. So Are You excited about Mi 10 with Snapdragon 865 chipsets?
